ABOUT US

Think Local. Drink Local.

We’re a family owned brewing company from the great city of Newcastle in NSW.  We make high quality, well-balanced, drinkable beer. We believe beer and community are ingrained. Local community sharing quality local beer! Since 2012 that’s been our uncompromising passion.

OUR RANGE

Sneaky One

ALL DAY ALE

Sneaky One was our first beer and remains our flagship beer on tap. It has an Australian Pilsner Malt base with a couple of bags of Australian wheat thrown in for smoothness.

It’s low on bitterness with subtle hop aroma from NZ Pacifica and German Tettnang hops.

Easy drinking for every day enjoyment.

There’s always time for a Sneaky One!

Old School

IPA

This Indian Pale Ale pays homage to all the pioneering brewers that decided to up the ante on a Pale Ale. This is a U.S. West Coast style IPA with an Austrailan malt base and U.S Amarillo, Cascade and Citra Hops.

We’ve aimed for a balanced bitterness with tropical hop aromas and a malt sweetness to round it up.

Hoppy, yet drinkable!

Well Red

RED ALE

This is a new beer that was intended for tap only, but when the lockdowns hit, we moved it to cans.

It’s dark coppery red in colour with lovely light caramel, toffee flavours. As soon as you open the can there’s an intense citrus hop aroma from the large dosing of US Cascade and Citra hops.

The bitterness is subdued for a great balance and at 4.9% ABV you may be tempted to go back for another.

It pays to be well red!

Coal Porter

Dark Ale

Here in Newcastle we have the biggest coal port in the world, so we give you – Coal Porter.

This black beauty uses a base pilsner malt from the small family malting’s, Voyager Malt in the Riverina, NSW. We then add a bag of rolled oats for smoothness and build upon that with light caramel and dark wheat malts from Germany.

We then use all Tasmanian hops, Super Pride for bittering, Topaz and Australian Cascade for flavour and aroma. Then bring it all together with a U.S. west coast yeast, fermented a bit cooler than usual to keep it clean!

Expect some caramel and toffee flavours with subtle chocolate and a lightly roasted, smooth finish.

Might even be worth writing a song about!
